Simple frog enclosure DIY.
I get myself a storage box from carrefour, dimension around 1.5ftlongx1ft height. Cost around rm8(currently selling for rm10)
Cut out the screen and that particular piece(cut out one) i divided into another 4 piece to reinforce the new screen. For the screen, i am using only those folio transparent plastic. As i am only keeping frog inside, a thin plastic is kinda useful already. You can always use acrylic for the screen for better security and stability. Two more piece of plastic(light blue) for the mini waterfall.
Initial set up with a mini waterfall beside. But unfortunately the design failed as there some leakage, further more the another disadvantages is the water changing-is kinda hard to fully change the water with the design.
Here's the final set up. I am using aquarium filter black sponge for the substrate. I had dismantled the mini waterfall and replace it with a water bowl. For the screen,i am using rivet at the first stage, but it makes the screen looks bad as it make the plastic nonuniform thus i redo it with glue gun and guess wat, it works well too.. Well, i hope my frog enjoys and likes its new house.
Here's it. My M.Nasute aka Malayan Horned Frog or Leaf Frog. Been keeping for like 4-5 months. Hope that this bugger can grow up healthily and perhaps able to breed them in future.
Aint he's cute??
